Below is the description of my didactic education and work: Currently I teach at the University of Warsaw at the Faculty of Applied Linguistics at the Department of Languages for Specific Purposes. My major subjects are the specialised language of science and technology, as well as the specialised language of law. I teach in German, as well as in English. In the academic year 2003/2004 and 2002/2003 I tought at the Higher School of Foreign Languages and Finance Administration "AVANS" in Warsaw. My major subjects have been German buisness language, German press language, as well as modern German history and literature. As I have attended all the obligatory pedagogic courses at the Faculty of Applied Linguistics my didactic education is certified by the University of Warsaw. Between December 1998 and September 1997 I have been working as a teacher of the German language for a Foreign Language School. During my classes I prepared my students (people aged between 18 and 35 years) for a national exam for ZdaF-Zertifikat Deutsch als Fremdsprache-Certificate German as Foreign Language and Zentrale Mittelstufenprüfung-Advanced German. Between February 1996 and September 1994 I worked for DIAKONIEWERK Düsseldorf. My work was based on helping the youth in their school projects, as well as current school problems. My major subjects were history, German language and literature. As part of this work I participated among others in work-shops, which supported our individual work on projects. |
